Loving, Sharing, Serving, and Reaching Others Through the Word of Christ.
In this Church community, you will find people loving God and each other. We share our spiritual gifts, our financial gifts, and the gift of our presence with each other. Through different worship services and many ministries and programs, we love to serve. We do not just serve the people who come into the Church buildings; we go out in to the world, to reach the arms of Jesus' love, to everyone in Morehead City, North Carolina, and even outside of the country! Our lofty mission is grounded and founded in the Word of Christ.

For the season of Lent 2021, our Sunday morning worship will focus on the great Christ Hymn recorded in Paul’s letter to the Philippians:
Have this mind in you that was also in Christ Jesus, who being in very nature God, did not count equality with God something to be grasped, rather he emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, begin made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross! Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
As disciples of Jesus we seek not only to “walk in his steps”, imitating his behavior, but to begin bearing more and more of his very nature – becoming more like Jesus in our very being. Come join us for worship starting February 21 as we focus on
The Mind of Christ.
You are invited to join us for a brief Lenten worship time each Tuesday in Lent from 12:10-12:30. We will sing, pray, and hear a brief devotion. You may worship with us in the Sanctuary (spacing and masks encouraged) or via Livestream on our Facebook page. We are honored to have the following pastors to bring our weekly messages.
February 23rd Rev Vera Price
March 2nd Rev Sarah Williams
March 9th Rev Dennis Goodwin
March 16th Rev Powell Osteen
March 23rd Rev Michelle Lindsey
March 30th Rev Patrick Whaley
Throughout the season of Lent, as we focus in worship on The Mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5-11), it would be a great time to connect with a small group of fellow disciples to study God’s Word and share our thoughts about walking like Jesus and becoming more like Jesus. Click below to see small groups.
We are always happy to help you start a small group! Do you have a group of friends and a calling to grow closer to Christ? We would love to help guide you! Contact any of our pastors for information. Click below to check out our menu of small groups.

For the first time ever, the story of Jesus is being presented as a multi-season show, digging deeper into the backstories and context of the people and events of the gospels. Many of us who have watched this believe it is life-changing! This crowd funded media project is available free to the world–you can watch it on an app on your phone or online at PureFlix.
This small group will have two sections: one for men and another for couples–will watch one of the 8 episodes of season one weekly–then connect for a time of discussion. The Couples Group will meet weekly Tuesday nights @ 7pm beginning February 9th in the large conference room and the Men’s Group will meet for zoom weekly Wednesday nights at 9pm beginning February 10th.
Please email or text Pastor Powell to sign on.
In a world of change, Dr. Maxie Dunnam challenges us to dig deeper as we read scriptures and Wesleyan doctrine to grow more faithful in our understanding of God’s grace in our lives. Why do we need Grace? How do we share God’s love? Lives have been transformed through these thought provoking readings that have opened our minds and hearts to all that God offers through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Book cost $14
