Due to the expectation of significant rainfall and high winds, the decision has been made to cancel Journey to Bethlehem, our Christmas Eve Drive-Through Nativity experience. We genuinely regret needing to make this decision, but believe it is in the best interests of the volunteers and participants. It is not possible to reschedule it this year, so we look forward to scheduling it in 2021.
Please worship with us via our Christmas Eve worship service live-streamed on Facebook at 3pm – then available at our regular worship times of 5, 7, 9, & 11pm. Or even Christmas Morning!
While we wish we could gather as usual in the sanctuary or fellowship hall with hundreds of children bustling about, carols being sung, communion being shared, and candles being lighted...this year is different. We hope many will come by the church in your cars for the Journey to Bethlehem. We will also offer an ONLINE ONLY Christmas Eve Worship service at 3,5,7,9 and 11pm.
We will not be having an In Person Christmas Eve Service.
The time of year is fast approaching when we give to those who desperately need our help as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, our Savior. CHRISTMAS CHEER will be a little different this year because of Covid, but we will still adopt our 50 families as usual. You may choose to come by the church office to adopt your family, or choose from a brief description on the church website and have the information sheet emailed to you.
We will have our “delivery” date on December 19. This year we will encourage families to pick up their gifts if able. We will still need helpers as we form a “drive-thru” and take the packages out to their car. If you would like to volunteer please arrive at the church fellowship hall at 9:30am on Saturday morning.
This project has always been a very meaningful project to FUMC. Please help us to once again make it successful.
We need YOU to:
1) Adopt a family
2) Give money for:
a) Purchase gifts for families
not adopted by an individual
b) Purchase food boxes for each family
3) Help with delivery on Dec. 19.
The Bible says we are blessed to be a blessing to others. We receive a blessing thru giving! Share the Love of Christ!

This year, our Chancel Choir will be offering a special Christmas gift of music celebrating the coming of Jesus - long ago in Bethlehem - and now in hearts and lives. Experience the Christmas Presence on December 20th at the 8:30 and 11:00 am services in person or set a time to listen and worship together on Facebook, Youtube and our website with the FUMC Family in this traditional choral offering.
Little shares the joy of the season more than standing outside someone's house - especially where they have not been able to get out themselves - and sing a few Christmas Carols! We've got lots fo homes to visit, so we will need every person - whether you can sing on key or just make a joyful noise! We'll divide in small groups of less than 10 - drive in our separate cars - and meet at 5-8 houses per group and Sing! This is a gift of joy and love sure to bless both those in their homes and those singing. Please be at the church parking lot just before 3pm so we can get started promptly.
